| The E-ProX is a self contained 'cabinet' (x-ray) sterilization system. It is designed to be used as a stand alone unit or deployed in tandem as a set of identical units. The design features portability for use in the field, or for use in a temporary location. E-ProX can be used in a medium sized food production facility or alternatively several units can be deployed in a larger facility. This flexibility allows the unit to be deployed wherever there is a requirement. The E-ProX can be supplied in 3 sizes, 5 kW for small scale operations, 20 kW for medium to large scale applications, 80 kW for even larger scale operations. |
The design of the E-ProX is intended to be used at the end of a production line after the product has been packed and palletized. It is easy to incorporate into your production process. The full pallet is placed in the system using either a pallet jack or forklift. (The door is then closed and the accelerator switched on for an exposure at the predetermined exposure rate.) Once the exposure is complete, the accelerator switches off and the door can be opened and the pallet removed. No complicated material handling is required, so the unit can be placed in many locations, or transported quickly and inexpensively. The E-ProX may be ideal for companies which have specific requirements at different locations. |
| The E-ProX is a shielded modular enclosure. The lead shielding provides 17" of protection up to 5 MV x-rays or 10MV electrons. A key controlled interlock system prevents the accelerator and unit from operation with the door open, or with someone inside the system. Weight and power specifications may vary with the system energy output. |
