| The x-ray beam is highly collimated and shielded to give a thin line of x-rays at the detector. The maximum reduction collimation limits the scattered radiation and the x-ray exposure to the inspected object. |
This design provides very low leakage of .001 % outside the desired main beam parameters. Actual output at the detector can be as low as required for good image quality. The x-ray beam is collimated using Xscatter™ which is a unique beam control system. This low leakage approach improves safety and reduces detector noise thereby improving image quality.
