Research, Inc. is a world leader in the design and manufacturing
of precision industrial x-ray systems. These systems range
in energy from 10 kV to 20 MeV for use in a variety of applications
including security contraband detection, radioscopic imaging
of composite materials such as high quality castings and defense/aerospace
components, and the conformation of infrastructure integrity.
Additional solutions are offered for the cold pasteurization
of food, electron beam bond curing for fusing composite materials,
and CAT scan backscatter tomography.
Founded
in 1987, L&W Research, Inc. initially functioned within
the Yale University Small Business Incubator Program. It has
been the recipient of several entrepreneurial x-ray system
development projects through the small business innovative
research grant program.
